Winchester Wedding // Kate & Sam
When Kate got in touch with me to document hers and Sam’s Winchester wedding I knew it was going to be a relaxed, fun and creative affair, largely because Kate is a very talented artist. I headed to Twyford just outside Winchester in Hampshire for the bridal preparations, which took place at Kate’s family home, a short stroll from St Mary’s church, where Kate’s sister had also recently got married.
After the ceremony it was time to swap the high heels for custom orange wellies as the bagpipes accompanied us all across the fields to the Village hall that Kate had so brilliantly decorated with big orange lanterns.
Not one for too much tradition, Kate herself gave a cracking speech that was almost as touching as her Mum’s moving words expressing her gratitude for all her daughter had taught her and given back to her, and made her the person she has become today.
The fun continued with ceilidh dancing well into the evening, providing a rip-roaring end to what was such an enjoyable day to be part of.
