West Reservoir Centre Wedding // Bianca & Ben
Bianca & Matt’s West Reservoir Centre wedding took place on a hot August afternoon. It was a laid back and fun celebration with good weather, good food, and a great bunch of people. Their ceremony took place in the main tower, with views onto the reservoir. The building features a really unique 1930’s red brick tower featuring the original water processing equipment. A fascinating piece of architecture! I love quirky and unique venues for weddings; who says you have to be married in church or a town hall? With the guests sat round the couple in a circle, it felt really intimate, and everyone had a great view! After the ceremony ended, the couple were showered in red streamers, and guests got to enjoy champagne and canapés.
At dusk, a Routemaster collected everyone and took them to Sager + Wilde. It’s a gorgeous, dimly lit Italian restaurant under the arches of Paradise Row in Bethnal Green, so a great spot for a reception. Everyone feasted on amazing food, and each course was interspersed with a speech.
Later in the evening, Bianca got changed into some white lace shorts – a pretty cool wedding outfit if ever I saw one! The evening party got started courtesy of the brilliant Storm DJ’s, who are great for getting a dancefloor going.
The West Reservoir Centre is a unique venue for a wedding, and London is full of industrial, quirky venues such as this. If you liked this wedding then you might also like this Old Dairy Wedding .
