Babington House // Lorien & John
I love providing wedding photography at Babington House; the venue has such a luxe yet laid back vibe. Lorien and John travelled over from California for their wedding at this gorgeous Somerset wedding venue. The girls got ready in one of the house’s stunning bedrooms. They have gorgeous light and so they are perfect for pre ceremony photography. Lorien looked amazing in a Monique LHuillier dress and Chanel shoes, and the bridesmaids looked great in tones of soft pink. The couple opted for a humanist ceremony in the Orangery, performed by a friend. (However, there is also a church in the grounds of the house for a couples who want a religious ceremony). The Orangery looked incredible, with beautiful flowers down the aisle and a floral arch, all provided by Passion in Bath. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed canapés and drinks outside in the April sunshine.
Dinner was served back inside the Orangery at long tables, lit by candles. The garden was filled with glowing lanterns. The atmosphere was very cosy and romantic, and this is something Babington House do so well. After the meal and the speeches, everyone hit the dance floor and stayed on it all night.
