V&A Museum of Childood Wedding
Anna and Bas’s V&A Museum of Childhood wedding was a laid back and fun day. The day would begin at Anna’s family home, with hair and makeup, whilst Bas had an usher’s lunch at The Flask pub, conveniently situated opposite the church. Anna arrived at the church, St Michael’s in Highgate, in a white London taxi. The vicar was a very cool dude and had everyone pose for a selfie with him outside afterwards. A couple of Routemasters were on hand to ferry the guests from the church to the V&A, whilst Anna & Bas travelled there in the taxi. The V&A is an impressive building on Cambridge Heath Road in Bethnal Green. Fun fact – it was East London’s first public museum, and it’s due to have it’s 150th birthday soon. When it’s not hosting curious visitors, it’s a unique space for events such as weddings.
On arrival at the V&A, there was champagne in a marquee and the cake was cut. Once inside the museum, there was dinner and speeches. Anna’s brother’s band, the fantastic Mr Jukes, provided the music, and drinks came courtesy of Gimlet Bar.
