Savile Club Wedding // Fiona & Spud
A gentleman’s wet shave in Mayfair was where my day began to document the Savile Club wedding of Fiona & Spud (I don’t think anyone but the registrar addressed Andrew by his first name). After a few photos and a glass of bubbly at the Turkish barbers in Mayfair, I headed to over The Zetter Town House in Clerkenwell to capture some images of the bridal preparations of Fiona and her bridesmaids. The wedding ceremony took place just over the road at The Museum of the Order of St. John in The Chapter Hall, a grand room with huge a chandelier from the Farnese Palace in Rome, and an impressive collection of paintings dating as far back as the sixteenth century. An obvious wedding venue for such lovers of classical music and the arts.
After the ceremony and a few portraits, we all jumped onto Routemaster buses for the scenic journey across London to the Savile Club, a well established private member’s club in Mayfair where the party and black tie dinner dance would commence.
