Port Lympne Wedding // Catherine & Tom
On one of the hottest days of the year so far, I headed down to the south of Kent for the Port Lympne wedding of Catherine and Tom. The Aspinall Wild Animal Experience is a unique wedding venue; not many people can say they got married whilst being cheered on by their family, friends and endangered black rhino. For those not familiar with the park, it was set up by John Aspinall and differs to a regular zoo or safari park in that it is 100% committed to charitable work and protecting endangered species, allowing visitors to see this conservation in action.
I digress. Catherine got ready in the mansion owned by the founder of the park, before heading out into the mid day sun for the ceremony which took place on the terrace. Before the guests melted in the heat, we were treated to the African Experience, a trip around the park on open back Safari trucks to see the wild animals. Back at the house, dinner was served with a pianist playing in the background. Speeches followed, then on to the conservatory where the DJ got everyone onto the dance floor for Catherine and Tom’s first dance.
