Farnham Castle Wedding // Jessica & Michael
A warm autumnal day of joy, love, laughter and hugs are the memories I take away from shooting the wedding of Jessica and Michael within the beautiful surroundings of Farnham Castle.
As the bridal preparations got under way I made my way across town to a nearby hotel where the boys were just adding the finishing touches to the last minute pruning and fabric de-fluffing of suits. With time for a quick swig of colour co-ordinated Powerade to keep the strength up – Wedding days can appear like endurance events to the many that revel in the entertainment the night before the big day itself. Michael’s father was on hand in the role of official time keeper to ensure the groomsman stayed on track to welcome the arrival of the wedding guests. So onto the Castle where my coverage of the bridal prep would continue. Once Jessica was in her dress she presented her glamorous bridesmaids with a few gifts, and then the father of the bride arrived; proud to admire how beautiful his daughter looked.
The first sight of Jessica was all that was needed to dispel the nerves in Michael that had built as he’d awaited her arrival. With the ceremony completed, Mr & Mrs headed up to the bar for a quiet sip of champagne before making their way down the steps to greet the enthused guests waiting to congratulate the newlyweds.
Confetti was thrown, Champagne and canapés were served and portraits were taken before we made our way back inside for the usual wedding staples of speeches, cake cutting and the ever anticipated first dance… and if you didn’t believe all of that: I have the pictures below to prove otherwise.
